Brief Description: This three-day session is a fast-paced combination of practical classroom data uses, application, and in-depth description of educational problems that data can solve. Many seminars on educational data start with state or district-level data and then “drill down” to the school and classroom level. The focus is on summative data with minor adaptations for formative data.
This seminar starts with classroom-formative data and builds up towards school and district data. The clear aim of the presentation is describing formative data that can be used by teachers and principals immediately.
October 17th is being provided as a half-day workday in which participants will be organized by school or into common interest groups. Participants are to come prepared with curriculum guides and other materials that can be used as resources as they work on the details of their classroom or district formative assessment system.
