Free Web Seminar on Educating Students with Disabilities, 12/8


The Council for Exceptional Children is hosting a free online presentation on five things that every principal should understand about educating students with disabilities. Presented by Dr. Margaret J. McLaughlin, December 8th.


Council for Exceptional Children Web Seminar participant objectives include:
1. Be able to describe basic entitlements and requirements of the IDEA and understand how they impact students with disabilities in their school;
2. Gain an understanding of effective instructional principles as well as accommodations and modifications as they apply to accessing the curriculum and assessment;
3. Understand how to interpret performance data for students with disabilities for purposes of school improvement planning;
4. Describe basic strategies for creating a school-wide support system for students with disabilities.
