In this fourth webinar of the Enhancing Infant and Toddler Education and Care through Reflective Practice series, Ellen Hall, Executive Director at Boulder Journey School, and Mary Jane Maguire-Fong, Professor at American River College will discuss the value of a reflective curriculum process in planning learning opportunities for infants and toddlers. They will build from content covered in this webinar series, introducing participants to:

  • The idea of teacher as researcher with the children, highlighting the continual process of observation, documentation, interpretation and provocation
  • A reflective approach to thinking about teaching and learning when working with infants and toddlers in group settings

Part I of this series was presented on November 17, 2010.You can view the archive of this webinar and related materials. The focus of this first webinar was the Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC). PITC is a comprehensive approach to professional development that provides infant/toddler professionals with opportunities to become informed about the infant/toddler learning and development foundations and other components of California’s infant/toddler system. This foundation is necessary to fully understand the subsequent webinar series topics.
