James L. Gentilucci, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Education and Coordinator of the Educational Leadership and Administration Program at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Dr. Gentilucci currents serves as a liaison to the K-12 community where he works with school leaders on highly influential school reform initiatives including After-school Learning, Pathways to Prosperity, New Tech High Schools, STEM Education Leadership, and 21st Century Learning. He was a co-author of the After-School Program Handbook for School Site Leaders published by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the California State University (CSU).
During 17 years as a K-12 school administrator, Dr. Gentilucci established and supervised several highly successful after-school programs for students in kindergarten through grade six. His writing and research interests include student perceptions of schooling and learning; science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) leadership; instructional leadership of school principals; and national and international K-12 school reform and improvement.
