In addition to the diverse, challenging tasks faced by public school principals, charter school principals "need to ensure sufficient student enrollment to fund operations, find and manage school facilities, hire the right faculty for the school, and negotiate relations with boards, parents, and authorizers." At the same time, charter school principals as a group have less administrative experience than their counterparts in public schools. This report profiles 13 full-time, online, part-time, and summer enrichment leadership programs for charter school principals. It provides salient information for those considering enrolling in these programs, including the skills taught in each program, the length of the program, tuition, and contact information. The report concludes by offering strategies to build a strong charter school leadership pipeline.
