Abstract (written by WestEd)
This book complements Tomlinson's The Differentiated Classroom (also published by the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development). The authors clearly and concretely identify the learning and assessment preferences for students using one of four learning styles — sensing-thinking or mastery learner; sensing-feeling or interpersonal learner; intuitive-thinking or understanding learner; and intuitive-feeling or self-expressive learner. Other charts relate to multiple intelligences. This practical book is for teachers who want to expand their repertoire to meet more students' needs/interests within realistic limits.
