This short article written by a joint committee of the National Association of State Director's of Special Education and the Council of Administrators of Special Education is a brief on the importance of RtI, the specific components of RtI, and how it provides a unified system of education. The article also covers assessment, the structured problem-solving process, flexibility and fluidity, tiered levels of intervention, and professional development requirements, and recommends resources for implementing an RtI model.
