While HorizonWimba has been designed for Macintosh compatibility, please note the following details if you are using a Macintosh computer to present or participate in a HorizonWimba session:
General
- Multiple browsers are validated for Macs. For specific versions of each browser, refer to the Matrix of supported browsers and operating systems
- If you use Entourage (a Mac-based email program), please make sure that you have quit it before connecting to HorizonWimba. It may automatically log you out of HorizonWimba if the application is open.
- It is recommended that you not expand / maximize the HorizonWimba interface while logged into the live session.
- Due to a bug in the way Java is handled by Firefox on Intel based Macs, Live Classroom and Voice Tools applets will cause the browser to crash. This is a know issue and Mozilla is currently working to resolve this bug. Firefox will still work with all non-Intel, or PowerPC Macs. This should be resolved in a future release of Firefox.
