The Academic Program Survey (APS) is a rating tool that can be used to evaluate how well a school is doing in nine areas ("essential program components") identified by the California State Department of Education as critical to student success.
CDE's related High School Essential Program Components Resource Kit supports districtwide planning and implementing the Essential Program Components of a high school academic program, and can serve as guidelines or ideas for any state.
